The staff of St George Lybettus Hotel go out of their way in each and every way! We have been assisted in every concern or desire. I highly recommend staying here. The views and excellent breakfast and rooms make it such a special experience in Athens. It is located right across from the Lybettus St George church and has lovely trails to the top. I can’t speak more highly of this hotel and their staff.

We had a fantastic time at this hotel and the restaurant and the views area picturesque. this hotel is on a hill as it shows in the online pictures but until you are staying here you wont appreciate how high up this hotel is and if you want to walk too and through it can be hard going if you are not to fit there is a couple of nice outside restaurants and bars near by but if you want to have a better verity then you will have to walk a fair way. on check-in they had us booked as just a room when in fact we booked and paid extra for a room with a view, he was convinced that we only had a room only and after showing him the paperwork he changed this and tried to make it look like he had done us a favour. it was very upsetting to find out on our arrival that the pool and other roof areas were closed due to refurbishment which was not made aware on the website when booking, this was a real shame as this was a holiday for my partners birthday and some of the reasons why i booked this hotel was the views, the papering services and of course the pool which we discovered was not open. we paid extra for a view but when they finally changed this and gave us a so called room with a view this was not really the case or worth it, we could just about see the Pantheon in the distance if we climbed out of the window onto the little ledge area (not an authorised balcony) the view was mostly of the trees at the front of the hotel as we were on the first floor which in my opinion was not worth paying for as an extra. all in all the hotel is really nice and the room, even though very small for a five star hotel are clean and tidy. the staff are fantastic and are happy to help, the food in our opinion is fantastic and breakfast had loads to choose from. what a great holiday and other than the bits I have mentioned was a great hotel and I would go back there again.

Great views from the rooftop across Athens, balcony rooms overlooking the Acropolis were a good size and very comfortable. Nice size balcony to sit & look at the view. Small rooftop swimming pool & nice bar area but €6 an espresso was ridiculous pricing and other drinks were just as expensive so the bar lacked atmosphere as there was very few people sitting at the bar. Cafe in the park opposite was a lovely spot daytime & evening - lively and drinks reasonably priced. Local area is residential with a good selection of restaurants and 20 min walk downhill into the city

Loved our stay here. The view from our balcony made my knees weak from the beauty of the acropolis view. You get an even better view from the restaurant. Our room was quiet- it must have sound proof glass as the music playing outside was not heard from in the room at all. The staff in reception were friendly. It’s about a 25 minute walk into the main attractions of the city, but it’s an interesting enjoyable walk. The walk back to the hotel was a bit tough walking uphill

Excellent roof top bar and pool to relax after a days sight seeing, good service, good restaurant with fantastic views. Rooms are are fine but not lavish. Easy 15 minutes walk down to the centre of Athens.
